About the role#
This position is for a Student Worker at the Subway location on the Middle Tennessee State University campus. You will work with the food service team to prepare meals and assist customers. This role is open to students across various fields of study, including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Psychology, Marketing, and Nutrition.
What you'll do#
- Build and prepare food items following standardized recipes.
- Serve customers while anticipating their needs to ensure satisfaction.
- Store food properly according to safety standards.
- Set up, clean, and sanitize workstations including counters and prep tables.
- Replenish food stock to maintain appropriate levels.
- Follow company safety policies and maintain security of assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Prior food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment as required.
