About the role#
Astranis is looking for a CAD Engineer/Librarian Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position based in San Francisco. You will work on spacecraft components and supporting structures while helping manage our design library and data infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Create models and drawings for spacecraft components, structures, and manifolds.
- Maintain and improve the design library and data infrastructure.
- Develop and document design practices to improve efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or industrial design.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks.
- Experience with GD+T and engineering drawings.
- A focus on hardware development.
- Experience designing spaceflight components.
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status is required to comply with export regulations.

- Compensation: $29.00 per hour.
