About the role#
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) department at GlobalFoundries is hiring an intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position focuses on maintaining the safety of employees, contractors, and visitors through collaborative assessment and site-wide safety programs.
What you'll do#
- Conduct hazard communication assessments and document findings.
- Reassess confined spaces, including updates to documentation and signage.
- Perform hazard assessments for specific areas or tasks to drive safety improvements.
- Assist with ionizing radiation inspections.
- Support daily EHS priority actions and incident response.
- Complete all tasks in a safe manner while following site security requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a sophomore in a Bachelor's degree program for Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Public Health, Health Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Fluency in written and verbal English.
- Ability to work full-time, at least 40 hours per week.
