About the role#
Meadowbrook Veterinary Clinic offers a Veterinary Technician Student Externship and Preceptorship program in Peoria, Illinois. This program provides practical clinical experience to students currently enrolled in an accredited Veterinary Technician program. You will work directly with our veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to build your skills and prepare for your career.
What you'll do#
- Assist with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments.
- Administer medications and vaccinations.
- Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures.
- Conduct laboratory tests including bloodwork and urinalysis.
- Take radiographs.
- Provide care for hospitalized animals.
- Educate pet owners on preventive care.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Veterinary Technician program.
