About the role#
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Intern to join our team in Malta, New York for the Summer 2027 term. This position focuses on data protection and data loss prevention (DLP) strategies. You will gain hands-on experience with cybersecurity policies and technologies used to safeguard sensitive information.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the implementation, configuration, and monitoring of DLP tools to prevent unauthorized data exfiltration.
- Analyze alerts and reports from DLP systems and provide recommendations for mitigating risks.
- Support investigations into data breaches, including root cause analysis and documentation.
- Help develop and update data protection policies and procedures.
- Work on projects related to DLP and other data protection technologies.
- Perform all activities in a safe manner and support Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a sophomore in a Bachelor program for Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum overall 3.0 GPA.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
