About the role#
The Encore Program is a paid, 12-week internship designed for experienced professionals who have taken a career break of at least 2 years. This role offers a bridge back into the workforce, allowing you to contribute to real projects, collaborate with teams, and sharpen your technical skills. High-performing participants will be considered for full-time employment at the conclusion of the program.
What you'll do#
- Plan, architect, design, and implement LAN, Wireless, and WAN network solutions for manufacturing and enterprise locations.
- Gather customer and system connectivity requirements to build resilient network solutions.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and vendors to ensure on-time project delivery.
- Support and troubleshoot network faults during break/fix activities.
- Review network capacity, usage, and health metrics to plan for performance adjustments and upgrades.
- Collaborate with IT groups to develop technology roadmaps and understand future capacity needs.
- Maintain network documentation and plans for factory, datacenter, and office infrastructure.
What you'll need#
- A career break of at least 2 years.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience designing, deploying, and operating large-scale networks.
- Proficiency with Cisco LAN/WAN, Arista LAN/WAN, and Aruba Wireless.
- Understanding of routing protocols, specifically OSPF and BGP, in large corporate environments.
- Experience with network automation, software, frameworks, and APIs.
- Ability to work on-site and provide after-hours or weekend support when required for project implementation.
- U.S. work authorization with no sponsorship required.
