About the role#
The Encore Program is a 12-week paid internship designed for experienced professionals who have taken a career break of at least 2 years. This role offers a bridge back to full-time work, providing mentorship and the opportunity to contribute to real business solutions. High-performing participants may be considered for full-time employment upon completion of the program.
What you'll do#
- Manage monthly and quarterly close processes, including P&L and balance sheet actuals, inventory valuation, and audits.
- Oversee OTC and AIP pricing activities, such as new material set-ups, quarterly pricing cycles, and impact analysis.
- Support contract accounting requirements, including licensing, cost tracking, reimbursement, and royalty implications.
- Determine the necessity of balance sheet adjustments like inventory reserves, expense accruals, and capital accruals.
- Collaborate with finance and management teams on operational performance reviews, cost reduction activities, and ad hoc analysis.
- Drive process improvements with a focus on automation, efficiency, and accuracy.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field.
- At least 2 years of professional work experience.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and managerial cost accounting.
- Proficiency in SAP, Excel, BPC, and Business Objects.
- Strong understanding of internal control principles, accounting policies, and procedures.
- A career break of at least 2 years and the intent to return to a full-time role.
