About the role#
BDO Canada is hiring for a Co-op or Intern position within the Canadian Tax Services team in Halifax. This is a 4-month full-time position starting in January 2027. We support students pursuing their CPA designation through mentorship, exam fee reimbursement, and study leave options.
What you'll do#
- Apply your technical accounting knowledge to prepare tax returns for various clients.
- Contribute to tax compliance projects and other assignments while following regulatory standards.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients by responding to their requests and suggestions.
- Communicate regularly with team members to provide progress updates and address any issues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting degree or diploma program.
- A strong desire to provide outstanding client service.
- A commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to take initiative.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia (Mumford Rd).
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, involving a mix of office, client site, and virtual work.
