About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for the Winter 2028 term. You will work in a hybrid capacity based out of our Salt Lake City office. This role is designed for students pursuing a degree in accounting who want to gain practical experience in tax services.
What you'll do#
- Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Complete tax work papers and finish projects within established timelines and budget guidelines.
- Learn and use firm tax preparation software.
- Perform tax technical research as assigned by your supervisors.
- Conduct self-reviews of your work to ensure quality.
- Share knowledge with team members and build relationships with firm professionals.
- Participate in firm training and professional development activities with your assigned buddy and performance manager.
What you'll need#
- You are on track to complete a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or taxation between May 2028 and June 2029.
- You have a minimum overall and accounting GPA of 3.0.
- You are an active member of Beta Alpha Psi or another campus accounting organization.
- You are available to work 30 to 40+ hours per week from mid-January through mid-April.
- You possess strong technical aptitude and clear communication skills.
- You demonstrate leadership through sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- You are organized, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks.
- You maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and are receptive to coaching.
