About the role#
HCVT is seeking interns for our Tax service line during the summer of 2028. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Fort Worth. You will work on federal and multi-state income tax returns for a variety of entities, including individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
What you'll do#
- Prepare income tax returns and related work papers.
- Complete projects within established timelines and budget guidelines.
- Use firm tax software to complete tasks and share knowledge with your team.
- Perform self-reviews of your work and conduct tax technical research.
- Build professional relationships across the firm.
- Participate in training sessions and firm activities.
- Collaborate with your assigned buddy and performance manager to grow your technical and soft skills.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or taxation, with an expected graduation date between December 2028 and May 2029.
- You maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA in both your overall studies and accounting coursework.
- You are an active member of Beta Alpha Psi or another campus accounting organization.
- You possess strong technical aptitude and clear communication skills.
- You demonstrate leadership through sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- You are detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- You maintain a positive attitude and work well within a team.

Location & details#
- Location: Fort Worth, Texas.
- Term: Mid-June through mid-August 2028.
- Work Modality: This role follows a hybrid schedule. In-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
