About the role#
This is a full-time summer internship based in West Los Angeles. You will join our tax service line to gain hands-on experience with federal and multi-state income tax returns. We provide training and mentorship to help you build both technical and soft skills throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Create related income tax work papers.
- Manage projects to meet engagement timelines and budget guidelines.
- Learn and use firm tax preparation software.
- Perform self-reviews of your work and conduct tax technical research as assigned by supervisors.
- Build relationships with firm professionals and work with a buddy and performance manager on your professional development.
What you'll need#
- You are on track to complete a bachelor or master degree in accounting or taxation between December 2027 and July 2028.
- You maintain a minimum overall and accounting GPA of 3.0.
- You are an active member of Beta Alpha Psi or another campus accounting organization.
- You possess strong technical aptitude and effective communication skills.
- You demonstrate leadership through sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Location & details#
- Location: West Los Angeles, California.
- Term: Summer 2027 (Mid-June through Mid-August).
- Commitment: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Compensation: This position is paid at $38.00 per hour and includes a one-time program completion bonus.
