Tax Internship - Summer 2027

About the role#

HCVT is seeking a Tax Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based in West Los Angeles. Interns will gain practical experience in tax preparation, research, and professional development through collaboration with firm professionals, a dedicated buddy, and a performance manager.

What you'll do#

• Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts, along with associated work papers.
• Manage projects to meet engagement timelines and budget guidelines.
• Utilize firm tax preparation software and share knowledge with team members to improve service quality.
• Perform self-reviews of work and conduct tax technical research as assigned by supervisors.
• Participate in firm training, activities, and professional development sessions.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or taxation, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and July 2028.
• Minimum overall and accounting GPAs of 3.0.
• Active membership in Beta Alpha Psi or another campus accounting organization.
• Strong technical aptitude and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and take initiative.
• High attention to detail and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Location & details#

• Location: West Los Angeles, California.
• Modality: Hybrid work model.
• Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week) from mid-June through mid-August 2027.
