About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in our tax service line. You will work directly with our professionals to support client needs and build your technical skills. This is a full-time position for the Winter 2028 term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Complete tax work papers and documentation.
- Manage project tasks to meet engagement timelines and budget guidelines.
- Use firm tax preparation software to complete assignments.
- Perform self-reviews of your work and conduct tax technical research.
- Build professional relationships within the firm.
- Participate in company training and team activities.
- Collaborate with your assigned buddy and performance manager on professional development.
What you'll need#
- You are on track to complete a bachelor or master degree in accounting or taxation between May 2028 and June 2029.
- A minimum overall and accounting GPA of 3.0.
- Strong technical aptitude and effective communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and take initiative on projects.
- High attention to detail and a team-oriented mindset.
- Receptiveness to coaching and feedback.
- Membership in Beta Alpha Psi or other campus accounting organizations is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Fort Worth, Texas.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from early January through mid-April.
- Work Modality: This is a hybrid role with in-office days required on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
