About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Tax Internship for Summer 2027 based in Pasadena, California. This role operates under a hybrid work model.
What you'll do#
- Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns and related work papers for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Complete assigned projects while adhering to engagement timelines and budget guidelines.
- Utilize firm tax preparation software to deliver quality service to clients.
- Perform self-reviews of your work and conduct tax technical research as assigned by supervisors.
- Develop professional relationships, participate in firm training, and work with a buddy and performance manager on professional development.
What you'll need#
- Currently on track to complete a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a master’s degree in accounting or taxation between December 2027 and July 2028.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week from mid-June through mid-August.
- A minimum overall and accounting GPA of 3.0.
- Active membership in Beta Alpha Psi or another campus accounting organization.
- Strong technical aptitude and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and take initiative.
- High attention to detail and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
