About the role#
The Accounting Intern works with the Koops Automation Systems team to gain hands-on experience in daily accounting activities. This role allows you to apply classroom knowledge to real-world tasks and learn how the accounting department supports an employee-owned company.
What you'll do#
- Support the team with data entry, transactions, and financial recordkeeping.
- Assist in the preparation of invoices, financial reports, and other documents.
- Research and analyze accounting information.
- Work with financial data and accounting software.
- Maintain accurate and confidential financial records.
- Collaborate on projects and process improvements.
- Take on additional tasks to learn about accounting and office operations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a Finance-related field.
- Completion of introductory accounting courses.
- A basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong mathematical and computer skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- A high level of accuracy, efficiency, and responsibility.
- The ability to handle confidential information with honesty and integrity.
- A motivation to learn and take on new challenges.
