About the role#
BDO Canada is hiring for a Co-op or Intern position within the Financial Reporting & Insights team. This full-time role runs from January to April 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in a professional services environment while working toward your accounting goals.
What you'll do#
- Prepare financial statements for Notice to Reader and Review engagements.
- Create working files for income tax and information returns for various clients.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients and respond to their requests.
- Conduct ongoing accounting analysis and complete assigned tasks.
- Communicate progress and issues to team members regularly.
- Assist other departments with accounting functions as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting degree or diploma program.
- An interest in long-term growth within the Financial Reporting & Insights team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A focus on teamwork, client service, and high-quality work.
- Experience or certifications with Quickbooks, Xero, or Sage are considered an asset.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position located in Ottawa, Rockland, Hawkesbury, or Cornwall, Ontario.
- This is a paid internship.
- The term is scheduled for Winter 2027.
