About the role#
We are looking for a Tax Co-op to join our team for an 8-month term from January 2027 to August 2027. Reporting to the AVP of Tax, you will prepare tax calculations and returns, assist with client onboarding, and help develop tax modules in our proprietary software, Diamond. You will receive foundational training in Fund Accounting before beginning your specific tax responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Prepare T3, T5013, and GST/HST returns and T1134 forms.
- Assist clients with registrations for tax forms.
- Maintain the database for new funds.
- Support the Fund Valuation team with mock and year-end distribution calculations.
- Liaise with internal teams to gather information and ensure consistent timelines for tax slips.
- Participate in the continuous development of tax modules.
- Keep management informed of issues and stay updated on regulatory or industry changes.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, auditors, and staff.
- Follow established procedures accurately and consistently.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary co-op program with availability for an 8-month consecutive work term.
- Studies in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Clear communication skills and a focus on client service.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and manage competing deadlines.
- Completion of the CSC or IFIC Mutual Funds Operations course or a professional designation is considered an asset.

- This position is based in Toronto, Ontario.
- We offer a hybrid work model, with teams in the office 4 times per month.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
