About the role#
This is a 17-month non-rotational graduate development program based in Toronto. Participants join a structured environment designed to build a foundation in corporate risk and broking. The program includes an orientation and onboarding training to help you understand various business functions. You will work alongside experienced colleagues to analyze risk, manage client relationships, and support the placement of insurance products. This role is intended for individuals seeking to transition into full-time professional positions.
What you'll do#
- Gather information and analytics to assess and evaluate client risks.
- Prepare draft submission documents, finalize submissions, and review quotes against specifications.
- Create loss summaries, review program binders, and check policies for accuracy.
- Develop client and prospect presentations and assist with materials for client renewal strategy meetings.
- Research market solutions to identify risk management options for clients.
- Participate in the RFP process and support the sales and pipeline needs of the business unit.
- Build relationships with insurance industry partners.
- Manage administrative tasks, including certification needs and billing requests.
- Maintain accurate records on internal systems and ensure adherence to quality and compliance procedures.
- Obtain required insurance and surplus lines licenses within specified timeframes after hire.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree completed between May 2026 and May 2027 with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Academic background in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Strong time and task management skills.
- Ability to accept direction, receive constructive feedback, and produce accurate work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interface with customers and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and presentation skills.

- Compensation: 65,000 CAD to 70,000 CAD per year, plus eligibility for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
