About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Corporate Risk & Broking Construction team. You will support client service and broking teams by working on real projects related to the commercial insurance renewal cycle. This role offers exposure to the construction and real estate sectors while allowing you to build technical and analytical skills.
What you'll do#
- Conduct coverage analysis and review insurance contracts.
- Research market trends and emerging issues to develop client-ready insights.
- Support the renewal lifecycle, including quoting, proposal development, binding, and policy issuance.
- Perform claims scenario analysis and prepare related reporting.
- Extract and clean loss run data from carriers and third-party administrators.
- Consolidate data into standardized templates and develop reports such as loss ratio workbooks, exposure histories, and benchmarking analyses.
- Use the Broking Platform, Excel, and other data visualization tools.
- Participate in project-based assignments across multiple lines of coverage.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, risk management, actuarial science, or a related quantitative field.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Prior internship or work experience in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time internship based in Bloomington, Minnesota.
- The term is for Fall 2026.
- You must reside locally or be able to commute to the Bloomington office.
