About the role#
This internship provides direct exposure to client assignments and meetings within the retirement consulting team. You will work alongside consultants to support global organizations in optimizing their employee retirement programs. The role includes a training program, mentorship from a Lead Retirement Consultant, and participation in an actuarial exam study program with paid study hours.
What you'll do#
- Perform actuarial pension valuations for various clients.
- Manipulate and analyze data to determine plan liabilities and funding requirements.
- Design, fund, price, and implement retirement programs.
- Complete plan administrative tasks, including benefit calculations and reviewing plan documents.
- Assist with plan reporting and filing requirements.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking analysis of benefit plan designs.
- Perform asset and liability modelling.
What you'll need#
- Progress towards a Bachelors or Master’s degree in actuarial science, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Progress towards an ASA or ACIA designation through the SOA or CIA.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, with a focus on Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

- Terms available: Winter 2027, Summer 2027, or Fall 2027.
- Compensation: $34.00 CAD per hour, with eligibility for overtime.
