About the role#
The Global Credit team manages approximately $42 billion and focuses on selecting risk-adjusted return opportunities across public and private credit markets. This internship position within the Structured Capital & Insurance team supports the due diligence and monitoring of new and existing investments. You will work alongside investment specialists to conduct research, develop analytics, and support portfolio-level decisions.
What you'll do#
- Assess private corporate credit, infrastructure credit, leveraged finance, and capital securities investment opportunities.
- Produce bottom-up credit and relative value analyses, including financial modelling.
- Conduct due diligence and prepare investment committee memos.
- Assist in day-to-day investment operations and portfolio management.
- Perform portfolio monitoring using database software such as Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
- Maintain the pipeline database for portfolio management discussions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Strong grasp of finance concepts including accounting, valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, capital structure, and credit analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with databases and large datasets using tools like Python or SQL.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
- Strong research, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Mandatory submission of a work sample demonstrating your ability to analyze assets or companies and make investment recommendations.
- Knowledge in Insurance investing is considered an asset.
