About the role#
The AI Delivery and Innovation team is looking for a fourth-year undergraduate student for an eight-month co-op term. You will work on creating secure and well-governed AI solutions by building machine learning platforms and tools. This role involves moving models from notebooks into production systems to support our investment and operational teams.
What you'll do#
- Explore, clean, and prepare data using SQL and structured datasets.
- Build and evaluate machine learning models across various techniques.
- Support feature engineering and model development.
- Work on Generative AI use cases including prompting and retrieval-based methods.
- Document your work and share findings with technical and non-technical audiences.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a fourth-year undergraduate in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related program.
- Proficiency in Python and its data stack, including NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn.
- Knowledge of core machine learning concepts like supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and feature engineering.
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Ability to write SQL and understand database concepts.
- Coursework or project exposure to large language models and generative AI.
- Interest in enterprise technology and the investment industry.
- Helpful experience includes deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, LLM tooling such as Hugging Face or LangChain, MLOps practices, and cloud-native services like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
