About the role#
As an actuarial intern in the Life division, you will join a team focused on complex projects such as product development, financial modeling, and risk management. You will work directly with credentialed actuaries to gain exposure to insurance operations and client assignments. This internship is designed to provide practical experience and insight into the industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the pricing, valuation, and development of insurance products.
- Develop financial projections for client insurance businesses.
- Document, review, and present your own work.
- Assist in creating detailed project plans.
- Monitor project progress against deadlines and budget.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or finance.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work legally in the United States indefinitely without visa sponsorship.

- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Work modality: Hybrid (three days per week on-site).
- Compensation: $36.00 - $41.00 per hour, depending on exam progress.
