About the role#
The FamilySearch Library is hiring for a one-year, part-time internship. You will work up to 28 hours per week, providing research assistance to library guests and completing professional development. This position requires in-person work in Salt Lake City, including some evening and Saturday shifts.
What you'll do#
- Complete training to assist library patrons effectively.
- Coordinate with your team to provide genealogical research help.
- Participate in team projects, including tree-building and missionary training support.
What you'll need#
- You must be a student or have graduated within the past year.
- You must be a member of the Church who is worthy of a temple recommend.
- Basic genealogical research skills.
- Paleography skills in at least one language other than English.
- High computer proficiency, including internet research and Microsoft Office tools.
- Working knowledge of FamilySearch products like the Catalog, Wiki, and Family Tree.
- Strong communication, presentation, and teaching skills.
