About the role#
The Events and Experiences Co-op works with the Event Producing and Strategy and Operations teams. You will gain hands-on corporate event planning experience through various projects. This role involves logistics, reporting, presentation preparation, vendor coordination, and general support for internal, employee, and client-facing events. You will collaborate with team members to deliver business partner events.
What you'll do#
- Research and recommend venues, gifting, entertainment, and guest speakers.
- Support registration processes and provide attendee coordination.
- Assist with Cvent reporting, data, and analytics to measure event ROI.
- Maintain the hotel contract database for Toronto, Waterloo, and Montreal.
- Create floor plans, name badges, welcome packages, and special gifts.
- Research new vendors and services.
- Record meeting minutes for assigned business partner events.
What you'll need#
- Interest, exposure, or education in Events Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to build business relationships.
- Knowledge of meeting, event, and virtual event management.
- Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment.
- Experience with Event Management Tools.
- Previous work experience in events is an asset.
