About the role#
As a Student, Credit Policy Analyst, you will join the Portfolio Risk Management team for a four-month summer term. This role offers exposure to credit policy, process management, and governance. You will work alongside experienced professionals to learn how lending policies, standards, and forms support business objectives and prudent lending decisions.
What you'll do#
- Support the administration, maintenance, and quality assurance of lending forms, templates, and documentation.
- Assist with the implementation and communication of updates to credit policies, standards, and procedures.
- Coordinate policy governance activities, including document reviews, version control, and publication processes.
- Track action items, maintain records, and assist with project coordination for Credit Risk Policy.
- Support testing, validation, and implementation activities for lending forms and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with business partners across the organization to respond to inquiries and support operational objectives.
- Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives related to risk enablement.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, accounting, finance, agriculture, or a related field.
- A strong interest in credit analysis, lending, agriculture, finance, or risk management.
- Ability to analyze information, identify trends, and develop practical recommendations.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Coursework in finance, accounting, lending, economics, or business analysis is an asset.
- Experience through internships, co-op placements, or academic research involving financial analysis is beneficial.
- Knowledge of lending processes or agricultural business operations is an asset.
- Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid summer internship running from May to August 2027.
- The role is offered as a hybrid position.
- Locations include Regina, Saskatchewan, and Kanata, Ontario.
