About the role#
As a Human Resources student, you will gain hands-on experience supporting various HR activities and learn how HR functions within FCC. You will work alongside HR partners and team members to deliver services that support the employee experience from hire to departure. This role is a full-time summer placement running from May to August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and employee changes.
- Provide administrative and operational support to HR partners.
- Respond to inquiries from employees and leaders, connecting them with the right resources.
- Maintain employee records, documentation, and HR systems with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with HR projects, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare correspondence, and help administer HR programs.
- Contribute to a positive employee experience through professional customer service.
- Assist with workforce planning and talent-related activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree or diploma program in business administration, commerce, human resources, or a related field.
- A strong interest in human resources and the employee experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience in customer service, administration, or office environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of HR principles or employee lifecycle processes is an asset.
- Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
