About the role#
As a Student, Finance Operations Technician, you will gain hands-on experience supporting finance and lending activities. You will work alongside finance professionals and internal partners to contribute to projects and day-to-day operations. This role is a full-time, paid summer placement running from May to August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support finance and lending operations, including loan administration, payment processing, reporting, and data management.
- Review, process, and validate transactions and documentation while following established policies and quality standards.
- Maintain the accuracy of financial, customer, loan, and payment information within company systems.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and analyses to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to respond to inquiries and support service delivery.
- Monitor work activities to help meet service, quality, and turnaround time standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality, and operational efficiency.
- Provide administrative support for projects and periods of increased workload.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a diploma or bachelor's degree program in business administration, finance, accounting, commerce, economics, data analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Previous experience through coursework, internships, co-op placements, or volunteer work involving finance, accounting, administration, or customer service is an asset.
- Knowledge of financial services, lending, accounting, or data analysis concepts.
- Experience using data, reports, or CRM systems to support decision-making.
- Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Regina, Saskatchewan, with potential opportunities in various office locations across Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, and Manitoba.
- The work modality for this role is hybrid.
