About the role#
StepStone Group is seeking a Co-op Analyst for the Infrastructure and Real Assets team. This role provides exposure to private equity infrastructure, including diverse companies, assets, and capital structures. You will work alongside experienced professionals to evaluate infrastructure funds, managers, and transactions.
What you'll do#
As a Co-op Analyst, you will conduct due diligence on investment opportunities such as infrastructure funds, co-investments, and secondary transactions. You will analyze sectors including transportation, telecommunications, utilities, power, energy, logistics, renewables, and sustainability. Your responsibilities include:
- Conducting market research to identify trends and forming independent opinions on investment attractiveness.
- Preparing valuation analyses using discounted cash flow and transaction comparables.
- Creating and adjusting Excel-based financial models for investments and funds.
- Constructing investment recommendations for the Investment Committee using MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Reviewing financial analyses from target fund managers and evaluating their marketing materials.
- Assisting senior researchers in tracking investment opportunities.
- Monitoring the performance of current fund managers and portfolio companies, including attending meetings with executives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate, Masters, or MBA program with a graduation date between September 2026 and June 2028.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong quantitative, modeling, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative and proactive team-oriented mindset.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada without requiring visa sponsorship.

- This is a paid, full-time position based in Toronto, Ontario.
- The role is on-site and requires in-person work.
- The term is for Winter 2027, with a duration of 6 to 8 months.
