About the role#
StepStone is seeking undergraduate students to join the Real Estate team as Summer Analysts. This role provides exposure to opportunistic, value-add, core, and credit funds across various property types, markets, and capital structures. Interns gain experience with real estate private equity funds and investment strategies while supporting the investment team in preparing recommendations for the Real Estate Investment Committee and institutional clients.
What you'll do#
- Underwrite and assess prospective fund manager materials to identify key value drivers.
- Conduct market research using public sources and proprietary databases to analyze macroeconomic trends.
- Interpret financial analyses from fund managers, including track records, financial statements, and fund models.
- Participate in meetings with potential partners and fund managers to support due diligence.
- Support full-time staff with coverage responsibilities, including asset and portfolio management and sourcing investment opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Undergraduate student status with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrable analytical capabilities, including strong quantitative and modeling skills.
- Ability to work legally in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship.
- Enthusiasm for the real estate industry and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
