Texas Instruments is seeking Manufacturing Technician Interns to join the semiconductor manufacturing team. This role involves both equipment and process responsibilities within the wafer fabrication area. Interns will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to the maintenance of manufacturing systems and the development of new products.
What you'll do#
- Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and vendor documentation to isolate and repair equipment malfunctions.
- Conduct technical tests and experiments to support engineering teams in wafer fabrication.
- Monitor and audit product processes while providing guidance to line operators.
- Test new products and provide technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a Technical Certificate or Associates program in Electrical/Electronic Technology, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, Automated Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Robotics, Industrial Systems and Controls, Electromechanical Technology, or a related electronics field.
- Understanding of vacuum, RF, AC/DC, and digital electronic theory.
- Ability to assemble, disassemble, and reassemble complex mechanical assemblies.
- Flexibility to work day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
