About the role#
Texas Instruments is seeking Manufacturing Technician Interns to join the team in Richardson, Texas. This internship provides hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing, covering both equipment maintenance and process engineering support. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position. Please note that Texas Instruments will not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
What you'll do#
- Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Use diagnostic equipment and vendor documentation to repair malfunctions.
- Conduct technical tests and experiments for engineering teams within wafer fabrication.
- Monitor and audit production processes, providing guidance to line operators.
- Test new products and assist process development and engineering personnel.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or GED.
- Currently enrolled in a Technical Certificate or Associates program in Electrical/Electronic Technology, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, Automated Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Robotics, Industrial Systems and Controls, Electromechanical Technology, or a related electronics field.
- Understanding of vacuum, RF, AC/DC, and digital electronic theory.
- Ability to assemble, disassemble, and reassemble complex mechanical systems.
- Flexibility to work day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
