About the role#
IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern for a 10 to 12 week program during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Cincinnati, Ohio. You will work alongside experienced engineers and consultants on electrical system design for industrial and manufacturing projects. This role involves hands-on project work rather than busywork, and you will be paired with a mentor as part of a cohort of fellow interns.
What you'll do#
- Assist with electrical system design in accordance with code and company standards.
- Research commercially available equipment to meet project requirements.
- Support client relations and maintain the project design notebook.
- Document design decisions, project meetings, and client instructions.
- Coordinate design and schedules with other disciplines, including structural, mechanical, and architectural teams.
- Review project documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct periodic job site observations.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Previous exposure to CAD or BIM software.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written formats.
