About the role#
We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to join the Navico Group team in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. This internship supports new product development and sustaining efforts for our Power Solutions team. You will work in a lab environment to assist with prototype development, testing, and design tasks. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Execute product validation testing and provide detailed reports.
- Communicate test data and issues to the engineering team using the test request system.
- Build PCBA prototypes based on engineering drawings.
- Troubleshoot PCBA failures with guidance from staff engineers.
- Design and fabricate test fixtures for use in the lab.
- Plan and prioritize multiple projects while providing technical assistance as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience with OrCAD or Altium PCBA design through coursework, projects, or prior internships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to adapt to changing directives in a competitive environment.
