About the role#
As a Project Electrical Engineering Intern at Cleveland-Cliffs, you will work on-site at our Cleveland Works facility. You will assist our engineering and operational teams with maintenance, design, and equipment upgrades. This role is a full-time position that offers hands-on experience in the steel manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Recommend and perform predictive, preventative, and emergency maintenance on plant equipment.
- Research, design, install, and repair machinery and electrical systems.
- Resolve equipment malfunctions, including those that require scheduled shutdowns.
- Help plan and schedule maintenance projects while monitoring costs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Review current operating performance and suggest improvements to standard procedures.
- Support the business with various other projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
