About the role#
As a Retail Sales Intern at Mercury Marine, you will support key initiatives across retail sales, distributor management, and retail analytics. You will work alongside sales leaders and category managers to identify business opportunities, improve processes, and support data-driven decision making. This role offers exposure to sales strategy, market analysis, inventory optimization, and promotional performance measurement.
What you'll do#
- Assist with Land ‘N’ Sea distributor show planning and maintenance of training calendars.
- Analyze Land ‘N’ Sea distributor programs and provide recommendations on product offerings.
- Conduct competitive research to identify market trends and opportunities for program improvements.
- Support promotional performance analysis and summarize results for stakeholders.
- Perform competitive pricing analysis to identify market opportunities.
- Maintain and enhance internal fines tracking and reporting dashboards.
- Partner with Category Managers to organize and update Safety Data Sheet documentation.
- Collaborate with the Analytics team to support retail sales dashboard enhancements and reporting improvements.
- Analyze retail data to identify out-of-stock conditions, inventory gaps, and SKU expansion opportunities.
- Assist with Authorized Internet Reseller compliance audits and data validation activities.
- Support seller data maintenance and cleanup efforts to improve data accuracy.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Sales.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or other data visualization tools is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits.
- Availability to work full-time (40 or more hours per week) from May through December 2027.
