About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will learn to design and develop electrical systems for the integration of electronic equipment on military and commercial aircraft and ground stations. You will gain experience across a variety of tasks and platforms, including avionics systems, RF, data processing, and power distribution.
What you'll do#
- Create system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, and control panels using CAD tools.
- Research and prepare engineering drawings.
- Coordinate design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to meet requirements.
- Support the testing and integration of systems on aircraft.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of CAD and PLM software, specifically NX and Teamcenter.
- Familiarity with Siemens Capital software.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Rochester, New York.
- The position is on-site and full-time.
- The work schedule follows a 9/80 format, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
- This is a paid internship. Sponsorship is not provided for this role.
