About the role#
The Engineering Test Lab Intern will work alongside test engineers and technicians to support product validation for the Navico Group portfolio. This role involves applying engineering principles to mechanical and electrical testing tasks. You will gain exposure to the product development process while contributing to real-world projects in a professional manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with validation engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to understand product requirements.
- Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical engineering issues.
- Support the planning and execution of validation activities, including fixture design, test scheduling, and test execution.
- Create validation documentation such as test procedures, reports, and fixture concepts.
- Maintain lab safety through 5S kaizen and audit processes.
- Assist with prototype builds and the design of new test stands for engineering projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work both independently and within a group setting.
- Comfort with multi-tasking and managing shifting priorities.
- A proactive, willing-to-learn attitude.
- Capability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Location & details#
- Location: Lowell, Michigan.
- Term: Full-time commitment during Summer 2026 (May to August).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $18 to $27 per hour.
