About the role#
The Research & Development Intern supports technical projects focused on product development, process improvement, testing, and innovation. You will work alongside scientists and engineers to gain hands-on experience in laboratory practices, experimentation, and data analysis. This role contributes to projects that support business and customer needs.
What you'll do#
- Assist with laboratory testing, experiments, and research activities.
- Prepare samples, conduct tests, and document results using established procedures.
- Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data while maintaining accurate records.
- Support product development, process improvement, and technical service projects.
- Work with the R&D team to troubleshoot technical issues and evaluate solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and project summaries.
- Follow all laboratory, environmental, and safety procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.
- Present your findings and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a similar field.
- Previous laboratory, research, or technical project experience from coursework or internships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collect, interpret, and summarize technical data accurately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
