About the role#
This internship or co-op position provides electrical design support for specific products and parts. You will work directly with engineers and administration to assist with product assembly, testing, debugging, and the creation of technical documentation. This role involves a variety of tasks to support the development of educational robotics materials.
What you'll do#
- Create schematic and PCB layouts for products and parts.
- Assist with the design and construction of prototype products.
- Assemble products and components.
- Perform product testing and evaluation, including the creation of necessary documentation.
- Operate production equipment as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Engineering or Engineering Technology.
- CAD design experience, with preference for Altium, KiCAD, Eagle, or PADS.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
- Two years of experience with a FIRST Robotics team, robotics programs, or similar robotics work is preferred.
- Experience with soldering, debugging, and testing is preferred.
- Customer service experience is desirable.

- Location: Carrollton, Texas.
- Modality: On-site.
- Status: Full-time.
- Compensation: Paid position ($18-$20 per hour).
- Schedule: 20+ hours per week.
- Program duration: Three months for internships (starting September 2026 or January 2027) or two semesters/one year for co-ops.
