About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in construction management. You will work on heavy civil projects, including transportation, roadways, water resources, and underground utilities. The role is based in the Northwest District, with operations in Vancouver, Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii.
What you'll do#
- Perform field engineering, operation planning, cost control, project scheduling, and quantity tracking.
- Complete engineering tasks using standard techniques and resolve technical problems.
- Maintain records regarding job progress, costs, and material usage.
- Review plans and specifications to determine material requirements and pricing.
- Coordinate with suppliers to manage and expedite the delivery of materials.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, industrial engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Ability to work full-time during the summer, specifically from June through August.
- Ability to travel or relocate as needed for project requirements.
- Ability to access all areas of a construction site in various climates and environments.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is on-site at various locations, including Vancouver, Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii.
