About the role#
The Tax Accountant Encore Program is a paid, 12-week internship designed for professionals returning to the workforce after a career break of at least 2 years. As a contributor from day one, you will work within the tax department of a multinational semiconductor company to gain exposure to complex tax issues. High-performing participants will be considered for full-time employment upon completion of the program.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation of complex federal and state income tax returns.
- Participate in tax compliance activities, including calculations for fixed assets, stock compensation, and R&D credits.
- Support federal and state quarterly estimated payment, extension, and provision processes.
- Research technical tax issues and communicate implications clearly.
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to streamline tax functions.
- Assist with special projects and support efforts to defend US tax filings during audits.
What you'll need#
- A career break of at least 2 years.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of accounting or tax-adjacent work experience.
- Ability to work full-time.
- No sponsorship required now or in the future.
