About the role#
This is a paid co-op position with the Government of Nova Scotia, Department of Finance and Treasury Board. You will work in an office environment in Halifax for the Fall 2026 term. The role is full-time, consisting of 35 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Administer and perform day-to-day operations for Financial Advisory Services.
- Maintain the general ledger by reviewing, reconciling, and analyzing data to find accounting errors.
- Verify contracts, cost share agreements, purchase orders, and tender requisitions.
- Perform financial analysis on projects, including comparative, historical, budget, and forecast processes.
- Provide ad hoc analysis reports as requested by management.
- Interpret and apply procurement policies and assist with the procurement AP module.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university program such as Commerce, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as in team environments.
- High level of professionalism and strong attention to detail.

- Compensation: $20.99 to $31.02 per hour.
