    About the role#

    The Future Opportunity Stream is a centralized inventory for students interested in administrative, clerical, and customer service roles. This program connects students with temporary, hands-on positions across various government departments. These roles are designed to provide professional exposure, help build transferable skills, and offer meaningful experience within the public sector.

    What you'll do#

    Depending on the specific placement, you may be responsible for:

    • Supporting day-to-day operations through research, data entry, and document organization.
    • Assisting with financial and inventory systems, including record keeping and distribution.
    • Supporting service delivery through data entry, document processing, and customer triage.
    • Managing the full records lifecycle, including digitization, classification, and file management.
    • Providing frontline customer service or retail support in settings such as provincial parks.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a high school or a post-secondary program, with plans to return to studies in the next academic term.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to organize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
    • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, email, and online tools.
    • A commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
