About the role#
This internship with the Executive Council Office’s Integrated Marketing and Digital Strategy team provides hands-on experience in government communications. You will work alongside marketing and digital strategy professionals to support public-facing campaigns, content creation, and channel management. This role focuses on helping Nova Scotians engage with government information through clear, accessible digital content.
What you'll do#
- Draft and adapt content for social media platforms.
- Assist in planning content calendars and scheduling posts.
- Monitor social media channels and track basic performance metrics.
- Support the drafting and formatting of monthly newsletters.
- Coordinate and prepare content for video projects.
- Organize content needs and support publishing workflows to maintain a consistent channel presence.
What you'll need#
- Completion of a post-secondary degree, diploma, or graduate certificate in marketing, communications, public relations, digital media, or a related field within the last three years.
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
- Experience supporting social media content planning, channel management, or digital marketing activities.
- Experience creating content for social media, websites, or newsletters.
- An interest in digital marketing, social media, and public communications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detail.
