About the role#
This internship program offers students a chance to apply their academic knowledge in a professional business setting. You will rotate through various departments every six months, gaining exposure to areas like Corporate Accounting, Internal Audit, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, and Treasury. This is a year-round, part-time position requiring 20 to 25 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure data integrity across business units.
- Conduct variance analyses to provide insights for strategic decisions.
- Develop and maintain tax schedules.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries for financial close processes.
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable operations.
- Participate in audit walkthroughs and control testing.
- Analyze spreadsheets to generate data for cross-functional teams.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related graduate business degree.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Enrollment in at least 9 credit hours for undergraduates or 6 credit hours for graduate students.
- A cumulative and Finance/Accounting GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Completion of at least one intermediate Finance or Accounting course.
- Ability to work on-site in Louisville, Kentucky, year-round.
