About the role#
As a LAN/WAN Intern, you will join our Networking team to handle tasks related to networking, server hardware, and PC software. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Yardley, Pennsylvania. You will work on-site and gain hands-on experience with infrastructure, security, and systems analysis.
What you'll do#
- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco switches and routers.
- Troubleshoot network issues like bad routes, dead links, and misconfigurations.
- Configure and install wireless access points.
- Deploy and maintain email databases.
- Implement next generation firewall policies.
- Manage virtual computing environments using VMWare VSphere and Microsoft HyperV.
- Assist with disaster recovery strategies, including backup hardware and software.
- Work with patch management and application deployment solutions.
- Support security efforts by mitigating threats and securing web applications.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Understanding of Microsoft networking philosophy.
- Experience with Windows Active Directory Administration and Microsoft operating systems.
- Solid understanding of network architecture and routing.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan and manage technical projects.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
