About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. Interns work 40 hours per week for a duration of 10 to 11 weeks. You will support one or more engineering areas based on business needs and your background. This role requires on-site attendance at least 4 days per week.
What you'll do#
- Support the design, development, analysis, and testing of engineering solutions during research and product development phases.
- Design and support manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment, machining, and material handling.
- Develop, apply, and maintain quality standards and protocols for materials, components, and finished products.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to support quality requirements and compliance.
- Contribute to system integration, verification, validation, risk analysis, and data-driven evaluation efforts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Materials Science, or Computer Engineering.
- An anticipated graduation date of Winter 2027, Spring 2028, Winter 2028, or Spring 2029.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Current authorization to work in the United States. Please note that Medtronic does not provide sponsorship for this internship.

- Positions are located in Minneapolis, MN; Tempe, AZ; Santa Rosa, Santa Ana, Santa Clara, and Irvine, CA; Lafayette and Boulder, CO; North Haven, CT; Newton and Boston, MA; Memphis, TN; Dexter, MI; Fort Worth, TX; and Jacksonville, FL.
