About the role#
Medtronic offers full-time, paid engineering internships for the Summer 2027 term. These positions last 10-11 weeks and provide students with hands-on experience in research, development, operations, or quality engineering. Interns work 40 hours per week as part of a cohort, with sessions running from June through August depending on academic calendars.
What you'll do#
Interns support engineering teams based on business needs and individual backgrounds. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the design, development, analysis, and testing of engineering solutions.
- Contributing to system integration, verification, validation, and risk analysis.
- Assisting with safety testing and regulatory compliance.
- Designing and supporting manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain quality standards and protocols.
- Supporting reliability studies and data evaluation to meet product performance targets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Computer, Chemical, or Civil Engineering, or Data Science.
- An anticipated graduation date of Winter 2027, Spring 2028, Winter 2028, or Spring 2029.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Practical experience in engineering design, testing, manufacturing, or quality through academic projects, research, or previous work.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Compensation: The hourly pay range for this position is $26.50 to $45.25.
