About the role#
Medtronic is offering a full-time, paid Software Engineering Internship for the Summer 2027 term. This program spans 10 to 11 weeks and provides interns the opportunity to contribute to experienced teams across software development, AI and data science, cloud, quality, DevOps, systems, and firmware engineering.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, debug, and implement software components, tools, and utilities.
- Support the development and execution of cloud strategy, including design, planning, and integration.
- Evaluate software system activities, including requirements, design, documentation, and validation.
- Conduct requirements gathering and analysis to understand software domains, interfaces, and characteristics.
- Develop and execute test plans and scripts to detect problems in software applications and systems.
- Develop integrated software algorithms to structure and analyze data for product applications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering major.
- Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) during the summer term.
- Current authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Experience with programming languages or technical tools is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position requiring a minimum of 4 days a week in the office.
