    About the role#

    As an R&D Software Engineer Intern, you will join the Active Implantable Systems group. You will work on technologies that monitor, diagnose, and treat heart conditions. You will help design and develop prototype medical devices to support patient care.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate on the design, development, and testing of prototype medical devices.
    • Write software using Java, Spring, Hibernate, and J2EE.
    • Analyze large clinical databases to extract insights and support data-driven decisions using SQL.
    • Observe clinical procedures to replicate real-world use through custom test methods.
    • Support full-stack development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
    • Assist in deploying and scaling applications in AWS and Kubernetes cloud environments.
    • Contribute to the infrastructure that supports software tools and device testing workflows.

    What you'll need#

    • Current rising junior or rising senior status working toward a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
    • Ability to start on May 17th or May 24th, 2027, and commit to a 12-week term.
    • Experience with Java, J2EE, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
    • Familiarity with Spring, Hibernate, AWS, or Kubernetes.
    • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
    • Reliable transportation to the office in Arden Hills, MN.
    • Medical industry experience, strong communication skills, and a desire to learn are preferred.

    • Location: Arden Hills, Minnesota.
    • Modality: On-site (five days per week).
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Status: Full-time, paid internship.
