About the role#
As a Process Development Engineering Intern, you will bridge the gap between research and development and full-scale manufacturing. You will work on medical device technologies, helping to refine processes that improve product quality and reduce variation. This position is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Connect Research and Development to Manufacturing by developing robust processes and systems.
- Create manufacturing processes and test systems capable of scaling to high-volume production.
- Use chemistry, materials, and engineering fundamentals to solve manufacturing challenges.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement new technical capabilities.
- Maintain the integrity of Process Plans and develop Manufacturing Instructions.
- Ensure all work conforms to global process development procedures and quality requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor or graduate degree in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science and Engineering.
- Graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029.
- Ability to commit to a full 12-week assignment during the summer of 2027.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Ability to perform basic data analysis using tools like Minitab, JMP, or Excel.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A collaborative approach to teamwork and clear communication skills.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Arden Hills and Maple Grove, Minnesota.
- The position follows a hybrid work model.
- You must have reliable transportation to travel between the two Minnesota locations.
